CHICKAMAUGA's DOWN HOME DAYS UPDATE

Chickamauga, GA's Down Home Days gets underway this Thursday night and continues Saturday in the city just south of the Chickamauga-Chattanooga Battlefield National Park. It's a short drive from Chattanooga, TN, Fort Oglethorpe, GA, Ringgold, GA, and Rossville, GA.

The event is staged every year on the first weekend in May and highlights small town Southern hospitality, socializing, activities, food and entertainment.

From the Walker County Messenger:

Down Home Days 2013 will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 2, with a chili supper and bingo, and continue on Saturday, May 4, from 7 a.m. with a biscuit breakfast and a beauty pageant at 9 a.m., and ending after dark. Enjoy kids activities, a cruise in, crafts, and live entertainment throughout the day and into the evening. For more information, visit www.chickamauaga.com.
