Toney Atkins comments: Readers of this blog should not be surprised by this revelation. A post earlier this week gave a strong suggestion that this would happen. The incident prompted a lot of conversation at Christmas celebrations, especially in the South, and gave a great deal of publicity to the show. Let's face it. The public can be rather gullible sometimes, especially when the news media perpetuates controversy concentrating on homosexuality and practically ignoring the racial comments made by the elder Robertson. Now, maybe the news channels can get back to news that is really news.
