Toney Atkins comments: I prefer cash or food, in that order, for gifts, although I don't really expect either. I'm still adjusting to being a senior citizen on a set income, plus $15 in food stamps, and it is incredibly difficult, considering other expenses, to make funds last until the end of the month. Senior citizens especially might prefer getting cash gifts, but to be certain, you can always include a less expensive gift of something you know they will like. HAPPY HOLIDAYS.
